The data required for the registration process is to be provided completely and truthfully. You will receive a personal user name and a password with your registration. You are obligated to keep the password secret and not to reveal it to third parties under any circumstances. After receipt of your user name and your password, you are then able to create your own profile.

(2) Except for declaring your acceptance of the validity of this information on data protection, your registration is not linked to any other obligations on your part. You can delete your data again at any time. There are no obligations connected to your registration with us.

(3) You are responsible for updating the data yourself should any of your personal information change. All changes can be carried out in your profile online after you have logged on.

II. Data Protection

The protection of your personal data when accessing our internet site and, where relevant, when entering data into your profile is important to us. Therefore, we comply with the legal requirements for data protection, in particular, the German Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz - BDSG), the German Telemedia Act (Telemediengesetz - TMG), as well as the data protection regulations of the individual federal states in Germany.

All data that you transfer to us will be handled of course as confidential. As a matter of principle, we do not make your data available for use by third parties unless you have provided your consent to do so or we are required to disclose this data by order of government or judicial authorities.

The gathering, storing, processing and use of your personal data will only take place according to the following data protection policy.

1. Gathering data by calling up the internet site www.scmt.com

We do not gather, store, process or use any of your personal data in connection with simply browsing the internet site. However, usage data is stored in a log file for the purposes of data security for a short period of time on our server that could possibly enable identification (e.g. IP address, date, time and the accessed files). This usage data is evaluated anonymously for statistical purposes in the course of internal investigations into user interests and user behavior. For this purpose, the IP address is shortened to the last octet (partial segment) before the evaluation process.

An evaluation of this usage data to create a personal usage profile is not carried out unless you have expressly agreed to the use of this data in this way. We expressly reserve the right to evaluate this usage data in case of an illegal attack on our internet site or other legal violations that may lead to charges being placed with the relevant law enforcement authorities. Above and beyond this, no further evaluation of your usage data or the transfer of data to third parties will occur.

We also collect personal data when you voluntarily provide us with such information, for example, within the framework of the registration process, by filling out your profile or by sending us e-mails.

However, the German Data Protection ACT allows such data to always be used and processed when it is provided within the framework of a contractual relationship or similar contract-related relationship or insofar as it is necessary for the protection of the legitimate interests of the storage site and there is no reason to believe that the legitimate interests of the person concerned for excluding the processing or use of the data take precedence. Despite the withdrawal of consent or a complete or partial renouncement of your agreement on the validity of this data protection policy, it is possible, therefore, to use and process data without your approval within this limited legally permissible framework.

Insofar as you enter and save data in your profile and commission us to make your profile available to companies for application purposes, we are entitled to transfer the data you provide about yourself to our partner companies.

2. Cookies/Session IDs

We make use of the possibilities provided by so-called "session IDs" to improve the use of our internet services. Session IDs are small units of information that are temporarily stored on your hard drive by our server when you browse our internet site. They allow us to identify you during you visit to our internet site and to correctly assign you to the customer profile you have created with us. Session IDs do not contain any information readable in plain text and are not used to execute any programs and/or to load viruses onto your computer.

Session IDs are not stored permanently on your hard drive and are deleted again when you exit your internet browser. Most browsers are configured to accept session IDs automatically. However, you can disable this automatic acceptance of session IDs or set up your browser in such a way that you are informed as soon as session IDs are sent to your computer. If you disable the acceptance of session IDs, you can of course also continue to use our internet service without session IDs. However, we must point out that it may not be possible to use or there may be some limitations on those services requiring registration on our internet site if session IDs are disabled and also that navigation on the site may be limited.

3. Commissioning third parties

We are entitled in accordance with the German Federal Data Protection Act to commission carefully selected companies or individuals to undertake or carry out those tasks in our name that are associated with the purposes set out in this data protection policy. These include: internet providers, service operators, companies who process payments and other companies or individuals providing supporting services. Such companies can be provided with access to personal data that is required in order to complete their work. Any other use of this data by these companies or individuals is not authorized.

4. Withdrawal and correction of data

You are entitled to withdraw your consent for the storage of your personal data at any time or to demand the correction of this data. You are also entitled to withdraw your consent at any time for the collection and storage of additional voluntary personal data by us. Please note that in order to protect your privacy and security, we will check your identity before you are able to carry out any such measures.

If you object to the use of your data in future and/or wish to withdraw the consent you have given then please check the relevant settings in your user profile.

In the case of the withdrawal of your consent for the storing, processing and use of your personal data, we will immediately delete all of your saved data. However, please note that in this case we can no longer provide you with those services that are subject to registration.

We would like to expressly point out that in accordance with the German Federal Data Protection Act we remain entitled to process and/or use your data despite the withdrawal of your consent to do so when this data has been provided within the framework of a contractual relationship or similar contract-related relationship and/or insofar as it is necessary for the protection of our legitimate interests and after weighing up the interests on both sides there is no reason to believe that your legitimate interests for excluding the processing and/or use of the data take precedence.
