Executive Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a Specialization on Quality Management (BA)

The degree program Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a Specialization on quality management (BA) gives participants a sound academic education in both general management and in the trendsetting field of quality management in cooperation with the TÜV SÜD Akademie. The focus on quality management applies to all industries and all companies. Small and medium-sized businesses can especially benefit long-term from having highly qualified employees in quality management.

The goal of the bachelorʼs program is to impart current management knowledge. The focus on quality management gives students additional sound knowledge of this field.

The bachelorʼs program is aimed at working people who know the value of an academic program, take great interest in contemporary business topics, and want to focus their skills on quality management.

Program Structure and Duration

The entire study program lasts a standard three years. The innovatively structured Executive Bachelor program consists of 16 largely independent modules. This means it can be completed flexibly. Even missed modules can easily be made up.

The modules take place every four weeks, each module usually  taking two seminar days (Friday–Saturday). Some seminars start on Thursday. All dates and courses are specified at the start of the program, which allows you optimal room to plan. Obligatory tests are taken as part of all 16 modules. Tests in the form of written examinations, cases, and/or transfer reports are required in all 16 modules. The languages of instruction and testing are German and English.

The Executive Bachelor program can be started with every module. The modules are repeated every year.

Exemplary Program Structure MBA

After students have successfully completed the program, Steinbeis University Berlin awards them the nationally recognized degree of Bachelor of Arts – BA. The Executive BA is internationally accredited by FIBAA. For completion of the bachelor of arts degree, 180 credit points are awarded according to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS).

In addition to the academic degree, the student receives the respected TÜV SÜD Akademie Certificates for Quality Management Specialists and Quality Management Representatives.

Besides theoretical content, our study programs also focus on the acquisition of soft skills. With the Executive Bachelor of Arts, you not only acquire management and business economics knowledge, but technical and methodological skills.

The foundation seminars consist of 11 modules of traditional management theory. They teach condensed, contemporary, internationally oriented management theory. You also attend three quality management seminars at the TÜV SÜD Akademie.

All modules, their exact content and specialization are described in the study and examination regulations.

After individual testing, you have the opportunity to have your completed seminars recognized.

Study locations and dates

The foundation modules are held in Berlin and Stuttgart. A special highlight of the program is a module abroad at the Jönköping International Business School of Jönköping University in Sweden.

These study locations for the modules are determined far in advance to make planning easier. The modules are held in selected seminar hotels. The exchange of experiences and opinions as part of networking at the seminar is very important for transfer of learning content. During group dialogs, interesting approaches for solving current issues frequently arise. For this reason, SCMT recommends that participants lodge together at the hotel.

The specialization modules on quality management can be attended throughout Germany at TÜV SÜD Akademie training centers.
